DEFENDING MILITARY CASES AROUND THE WORLDFREE INITIAL CONSULTATION
For more than thirty years, I have been engaged in the general practice of law having represented clients in a variety of actions in federal and state courts. Although I have had a diverse practice handling federal claims litigation, criminal defense, domestic relations and juvenile cases, etc., the majority of my experience has been the practice of Military Law, where I have been intimately involved in all aspects of military legal concerns.
I have represented clients of every branch of military service, both active and reserve, through the full spectrum of military criminal proceedings: pretrial investigations, courts-martial, and appellate representation through the Courts of Criminal Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the U.S. Supreme Court. I have represented clients in courts-martial and appeals involving nearly every criminal offense, including charges of murder, rape, child abuse, espionage and mbezzlement; and have handled capital cases at both the trial and appellate levels. In addition to criminal charges, I have represented service members in a full range of military legal and administrative matters such as federal claims litigation, administrative discharge hearings, the imposition of nonjudicial punishment, clemency petitions, considerations for parole, and many diverse efforts to correct military and personnel records. I have represented military clients in nearly every state as well as overseas in Europe and Asia. I am willing to travel wherever I may be needed.
Furthermore, my opinions and advice concerning the current status and possible amendment of military criminal procedures have been presented to the Office of the General Counsel of the Department of Defense as well as to various Congressmen on the House Armed Services Committee and various other organizations. I have also regularly been contacted by the media at both the national and local level for expert opinions and have been quoted on numerous occasions in newscasts and articles involving military issues.
