I've been in the legal field for 30+ years and consider myself extremely experienced with attorneys. This was a horrible experience. During our consultation we emphasized that time was of the essence yet it took 3 months for their office to file the petition. Assuming due to poor communication b...etween he and his paralegal, amended paperwork had to be filed to expedite our hearing (paralegal stated atty didn't tell her the adversarial parties were leaving the area) yet we were charged again for the amended paperwork. The billing statements provided by their office are vague and when I confronted the paralegal about being double billed she claimed it to be a "clerical error". The order was allegedly entered in October (3+ months ago). I can't verify that because I can't get their office to provide me with a copy of the order. Now I'm sensing an attitude from the attorney because I've emailed again asking for an Order I should have received. He alleges he "saw" the email his paralegal send me with the order ... just resend the darn thing and stop being so defensive. I spent $3k+ - had 1 consultation, 2 phone calls and can't even get a copy of an agreed order ... frustrated beyond words!
