If you are considering Andy Patzig, proceed with extreme caution and document everything. I hired Andy Patzig to represent me in a custody matter involving my son. Looking back, my biggest regret was trusting that my case was being properly prepared and that my attorney was actively advocating for m...y child’s best interests. Communication was a major issue throughout the representation. I had unanswered questions, limited follow-up, and eventually had to contact the firm’s concierge because I was unable to get the communication I needed from my own attorney. The most concerning issue was the complete lack of trial preparation. I sent direct emails asking about critical trial matters, including exhibits, witnesses, and discovery requests to the opposing party. Those questions were not answered. Despite the importance of these issues, I received no meaningful response or confirmation that these essential trial preparation steps had been completed. Trial preparation was essentially nonexistent. It was only mentioned at the last minute, but based on the lack of preparation and the information available to me, it appeared that the actual work necessary to properly present my case had not been done. I was left feeling that my case was not being prepared to be tried and that I was being pushed toward an outcome rather than represented through the process. The final breakdown in trust came when an order was submitted that was significantly different from the version I had previously signed through DocuSign. The changes involved important provisions and further damaged my confidence in the representation I received. My advice to anyone considering hiring Andy Patzig: ask detailed questions, get everything in writing, keep every email, and document every step. I learned that you cannot assume important things are being handled without verifying them yourself. A custody case involves your child and your future. You deserve an attorney who communicates, prepares, and advocates. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Andy Patzig.
