I had Paul Hedges for two cases and he was good but the last problem, he treated me like dirt. I put a message on Linkedin I wanted to schedule an appointment. He called and asked me what it was about. I told him to enforce a written agreement between me and Goodman Mfg. Co. regarding a heat pump.... Instead of scheduling an appointment, he told me to drop it off. I called about it, he told me to come by and pick it up. I suggested I write a letter and send them the $100 and we agreed. Goodman returned the letter with the $100 check. I called and asked him if I could fax it rather than having to drive away out there. He said on the phone he would write them a letter to put pressure on them. A month went by and I heard nothing from him. He said I could pick it up on Monday. I went there on Tuesday, the letter was not ready. He had the secretary type it while I was there and told her to let me review it. I added some things. She couldn't finish the letter while I was there as she said he had a client in his office and she couldn't go in to get Goodman's address. I waited about 45 minutes, got tired and left. That night I texted him, told him he had treated me like dirt as the letter wasn't ready. He blamed me, said he had never a client tell him what to put in a letter, he had 30 years experience. I told him you told the secretary to let me review it and I added two sentences I think. I told him I needed the letter in two days. He never wrote the letter... I had a hard time finding another lawyer for the agreement with Goodman was for $800 and other lawyers wanted to charge me from $400 down to $100. I finally found a nice lawyer, George Talbot, who wrote the letter for $25.00 and I got the $800 from Goodman. Like I said in the beginning he treated me like dirt over the letter. I sent him a client and he never showed up for her in court and she lost. The last time we went to court, he was late and kept me in suspense. He is haphazard at times. He is a good lawyer most of the time, but dropped the ball writing the letter.
