Stephen Barber Plott

I hired Mr. Plott to represent me against an emergency personal protective order that was taken out against me. I provided Mr. Plott with videos from my security cameras proving my location and activity. Prior to the hearing, Mr. Plott advised me to say nothing. On hearing day, four “witnesses” testi...fied against me claiming everything from staring at a second story window, to loitering as well as being “nonsensical” and having “mental health issues”. Mr. Plott let all that go without challenging it. My videos were played for the judge, however he couldn’t link the fact that my videos placed me in a different location other than what the affidavit claimed. I was ruled against and a six month protective order was issued against me. Mr Plott immediately told me to appeal the ruling which I did. The appeal was scheduled for two month later. On appeal day, it was pushed back an additional four months with justification provided to me. During these months waiting, I provided Mr. Plotts office with additional videos to strengthen my case. I did not hear from Mr Plott during this six months other than to push a security bond which I rejected each time he brought it up. On appeal day, I asked Mr. Plott if had the additional videos and he replied no. During the appeal, things again didn’t go well and a second judge disregarded the video/affidavit discrepancy and extended the protective order for two years. I feel II was cheated out of justice and lost my rights for two years on a case that should’ve been won.
