I am an experienced professional dedicated to defending the service of those who serve this country: members of the uniformed services and federal civilian employees.
As one of the attorneys with The Law Offices of Sean Mangan, PLLC, I practice exclusively military law and federal civilian employment law.
On the military side, I advise and represent military servicemembers in all matters pertaining to their military services, including UCMJ actions, courts-martial, titling actions, separation boards and BOIs, administrative investigations, the filing of derogatory information, reprimands, GOMORs, administrative rebuttals, filings before military records boards, criminal appeals before the CCAs and CAAF, clearance investigations and appeals, and more.
On the federal civilian side, I represent federal civilian employees in a wide array of matters, including performance actions, removals, PIPs, suspensions, reasonable accommodations, disciplinary actions, equal employment opportunity matters and litigation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and litigation before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB). As an attorney who formerly defended federal agencies, I understand what it takes to win when taking on the federal government.
Prior to leaving government, I previously served as a federal judicial clerk at the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces; as an Army Judge Advocate (JAG), including as a Trial Defense Services (TDS) attorney at Fort Bragg; as an appellate staff attorney at a state supreme court; and as a federal civilian employment litigator for the United States Department of Commerce. I have substantial experience in trial litigation, administrative appeals, appellate practice, and federal civilian employment law.
