also known as Mo Sherman, A. Moshe Sherman
Throughout law school and since graduating from the University of Richmond, I have spent the last several years learning from the best criminal defense attorneys in the Commonwealth. I interned with the Office of the Federal Public Defender on two separate occasions, as well as with the Richmond Public Defender and the Law Offices of Stone, Cardwell & Dinkin, the former name of my current firm. For one year following law school, I worked as a Law Clerk for the Honorable T.J. Hauler, Chief Judge of the 12th Judicial Circuit of Virginia.
I strive to provide zealous, passionate, and professional advocacy that will yield excellent results for my clients. My practice focuses intensely on criminal law, particularly drug, traffic, and violent offenses as well as criminal appeals.
I graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond Law School while serving as the Chief Justice of the Honor Council as well as on the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy boards. I was humbled to be selected as the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Oral Advocacy Award. Additionally, I was selected by my law school professors to join the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization that recognizes individuals who have excelled in advocacy and service at their respective schools.

Best experience
Mr. Sherman turned a bad experience around for me. He was from the beginning kind, available, friendly, and very informed. He knew everyone in the courtroom and he made me feel very comfortable. "Even as an intern several years ago, Mr. Sherman demonstrated his knowledge of the law, his mature legal advocacy, and his ability to effectively examine witnesses. Now that he is in private practice, I continue to impressed with his ability to work with the Commonwealth and the Court system to his clients' advantage."
"Having known Moshe for years, I can say that even as a young attorney, he continues to impress me with his natural curiosity, hard work, and passion for obtaining real justice for his clients. He is the kind of attorney that will leave no stone unturned in researching a case, and is not afraid to take risks."
