This lawyer took my money. I paid him a retainer of $2,800 and all he did was fill out a warrant in debt and show up in court for 30 minutes. He never sent me a bill but when the case was one, he took a portion of what I won in addition to all of the $2,800 I paid him up front. He only did about an h...ours work and his rate was $250 an hour. I won the case and was to get $5000 from the landlord. Kevin Purnell got the money first and took $3000 of the $5,000 on top of the $2,800 I had already paid him. So I got $2,000 but spent $5,800 to collect just $2,000. He never sent me bills to tell me that he had spent the $2,800 I had already paid him I would have never spend $5k to collect $2k. He is a jive lawyer
