Biography
My primary areas of focus are estate planning; residential and commercial real estate; and business contract review and drafting.
Before joining Otey Smith & Quarles, I had the honor of being a Major League Baseball player. From 2006 until 2013, I appeared in 258 games with the Washington Nationals and Cincinnati Reds.
While playing, I was a member of the MLB Players Association, serving as the elected team representative for the Reds. During my career, I also served on the MLBPA's executive subcommittee and licensing committee. I continue to serve players as a MLBPA Certified Player Agent and as a board member for Major League Baseball Players Alumni Marketing.
After retiring from baseball, I attended the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary and graduated in 2018. My wife, Elaine, and I reside in Williamsburg with our four children.
