Great defense attorney!

Shannon was retained by my wife and I to represent our son in a criminal assault case. She was great to work with, responsive, and answered all of our many questions throughout the process. An extraordinary OUTCOME for a family that needed a competent, empathetic and effective Attorney

I am a parent and my spouse and I love our children. In life, one of our children was struggling with a problem that evolved into a felony arrest. And then things went down hill. We were lost but decided to help our son. We interviewed multiple criminal attorneys. Shannon Hoehl and her trusted t...eam mate Courtney invited us for the initial review, and listened with a degree of empathy that separated her from all other encounters. Not only did she believe she could help, but she explained the approach. We (especially my son) followed all of her instructions and we needed 4 miracles to help provide an outcome that helped our son permanently vice a punishing outcome that literally served no one. Her professionalism, calm demeanor, responsiveness and credibility in preparations and in the courtroom supported an incredibly valuable outcome for our family. My son needed help; not caged. Throughout Shannon was realistic and prepared us for all facets of each encounter with the courts ... no promises. But by doing the right things the right way. we have a favourable outcome for the community, our family and Hanover County. My son's rehabilitation will serve him his entire life. Great criminal defense attorney!

One of the sharpest criminal minds in Virginia. Ms. Hoehl helped us when one of our underage children was charged with assault. Her experience and compassion resulted in a satisfactory conclusion to a scary time for our family. She is “our lawyer for life”.

Outstanding attorney

Finding prompt expert legal representation is both daunting and frightening. You want someone who is deeply knowledgeable about the law and who will also be a strong advocate for your case. I was exceptionally fortunate to have found this combination of qualities with Shannon Hoehl. Ms. Hoehl’s resu...me is uniquely impressive. She has years of prior experience in the roles of both prosecutor and judge, and now she rounds out that experience serving as a criminal defense attorney with McCaul Martin, P.C. Of course, I did not know about her experience at the time when I was first seeking legal help. I was in a panic, calling various area attorneys, one of which, by good fortune, referred me to Ms. Hoehl, and after my first consultation, I was convinced that she would be the ideal choice for my case. Adding to her experience, her demeanor and plan of action reassured me that she would work hard on my behalf. I was further reassured by her later efforts and prompt replies to my inquiries. Obviously, in any situation like this, one needs to be realistic. Attorneys cannot rewrite laws or change facts, but they can use their ability to try and get the most favorable outcomes for their clients, and this is where Ms. Hoehl greatly exceeded my expectations. In all truth, the deal she negotiated for me seemed to be not only fair but outright magnanimous. I am confident that in less skilled hands with someone less committed to my case, I would not have fared nearly as well as I did. While I hope I never find myself needing Ms. Hoehl’s professional skills again, I am incredibly grateful and pleased with her services, and I strongly recommend her to anyone else in similar need.
