Seth Ragosta

Seth Ragosta focuses his practice on family law and complex commercial litigation - including general business matters, employment law, real property issues and criminal concerns. Seth's work in family law includes all issues related to separation or divorce matters, in particular those dealing with the division of assets and spousal support.  

Seth has represented individuals as well as public and private companies in a wide variety of civil matters before state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, and he has litigated claims involving False Claims Act violations, Consumer Protection Act violations, real estate disputes, breach of contract claims, Fair Labor Standards Act violations, fraud, business torts, will contests, undue influence complaints and divorce complaints, among others.  Seth’s practice has involved many family law matters under Virginia law, including complex equitable distribution and spousal support cases at both the trial and appellate levels.  Seth served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for Middlesex County in Massachusetts for a six-month rotation during which he prosecuted 11 jury and bench trials to verdict.

Seth began practice with a major law firm in Boston, MA, focusing on complex commercial litigation and trial work.  He moved to Charlottesville, VA in 2013 and joined Feil, Pettit and Williams before its merger to become Lenhart Pettit in 2014.  Seth, his wife Lisa and their two children love the Charlottesville community and look forward to spending their lives here.  They are dedicated University of Virginia alumni.  In his free time, Seth enjoys photography, hiking, and reading.
