I had never had an encounter with the law until a few months ago when I was falsely accused of a hit and run and more. A “concerned citizen” followed me for 25 minutes to work, honking the horn and calling the Police. I was so embarrassed when they all piled out of their cars at my place of employme...nt. Even worse the officer gave me a breathalyzer test and told me to walk the line. It was 3 o’clock in the afternoon! A co-worker recommended Mr. Goodman. He was worth every nickel and then some. Scott Goodman lives up to his reputation beyond a reasonable doubt. I heard about him from a few friends, had it not been for that I would probably not have been lucky enough to retain him. I was facing 5 counts of driving on a revoked license in Virginia, punishable by up to 5 years in prison, 5 yea...rs loss of license, and a 12,500 dollar fine. The prosecution brought in multiple witnesses, and had photos of me allegedly driving when I wasn't supposed to...I was innocent but other lawyers assured me there is no way I could get anything better than getting four dropped and convicted on one, but I was confident enough in Mr. Goodman to put my life on the line. Scott Goodman redefines the term "reasonable doubt"... we pleaded not guilty, the trial lasted over an hour, and in the end I walked with a 200 dollar fine and court fees. Mr. Goodman brought in a judge from out of town and we felt that the judge's decision was very fair, I now will face no jail time, and no further loss of license. Mr. Goodman made me feel welcome in his office, he is easy to communicate with, and professional. He is going to be more expensive that other lawyers, but even then, you will still get MORE than you paid for. If you are lucky enough to get him to take your case, I would highly recommend you retain him, no questions asked.

Mr. Goodman was great helping me understand my case and the best way to proceed. He met with me twice before I even hired him, and told me that he'd do his best but couldn't guarantee anything. I definitely respected him giving it to me straight and not just trying to get me to hire him. But I'm r...eally glad I did. We ended up having to go to a jury trial, and he really did an absolutely outstanding job at trial and I was found not guilty on all 3 counts charged against me. I've since recommended him to friends and colleagues who all have nothing but great things to say about him as well.
