Must hire!!

If you are in need of a divorce attorney, first of all, I’m sorry to hear you’re in that situation. If you do need to hire an attorney then you should absolutely hire Kyle. He’s professional and kind. He also really covers all grounds. There were situations that he planned for that I never thought wo...uld have been necessary and they ended up being necessary. Not only did he come up with a quick resolution, he also came up with the best possible outcome for me. I appreciate how straight forward he is and the time he put into my case. I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better lawyer. Give him a call!

Excellent, insightful representation!

I hired (Jared) Kyle Farmer back in 2011 to handle my divorce, as well as the custody, visitation, and child support matters that ensued. The Raynor Law Office (as it was called then) had come recommended to me by someone, and for good reason. Mr. Farmer was young, but very well versed in the law a...nd processes involved to represent me in a very professional, thorough, and competent manner. His questions to me as his client during the information gathering phase were direct, thorough, and addressed all necessary aspects of the case, without getting into erroneous, unnecessary details, which saved me money and kept the case focused. He was very conscious that attorney fees are costly, and only did the work necessary, while not cutting corners. He developed a very clear, strategy for each aspect of my case. Throughout the case, there were numerous unexpected circumstances surrounding rulings by numerous substitute judges, many of whom very clearly applied VA law incorrectly, which was incredibly frustrating for both of us. We were also dealing with someone on the other side of the table (my ex-wife and an attorney representing her who had previously been found guilty of ethics violations and was not always acting appropriately) who was very unpredictable, irrational, and somehow able to get away with it in court repeatedly. However, even though these were definitely setbacks and points of frustration, he was always able to quickly adapt our situation in an instant based on what happened and plan the next course of action. Despite many very frustrating and unpredictable situations, his insight and deep, intimate knowledge of VA law ultimately prevailed, and he paved the way for a favorable outcome in my divorce as well as a HIGHLY favorable outcome regarding custody and visitation, which is still in place today (2017). My divorce was finalized in 2013 (mostly due to being dragged out by bogus continuances and other nonsense), and Mr. Farmer provided excellent advice and representation throughout the entire process. He kept me involved and informed throughout the process, and I always felt like I knew our strategy and the reasons behind it, which always put me at ease in my otherwise tenuous situation. I actually learned a great deal about the custody and visitation law by working through this case with him as my attorney. He was very fair in his billing, did an excellent job questioning witnesses in court, and was able to think on his feet during examinations and cross-examinations when witnesses tried to avoid questions, answered in unexpected ways, or tried to deviate from the issue. He presents very well in front of judges and is able to read them very well and has excellent court demeanor. He knows what things will be favorable and unfavorable to a judge, and what and how to present himself and his clients so that they are portrayed in the best possible light. I would HIGHLY recommend Kyle Farmer as an attorney to represent anyone who is facing a divorce, custody, or child support situation, no matter how difficult. He was throrough, fair, knowledgeable, professional, and held himself to a very high ethical standard. He did an amazing job for me, and I would rehire him in a heartbeat if I felt I needed legal assistance again.

fantastic representation

I absolutely and unequivocally recommend Kyle Farmer! I hired Kyle to represent me in what turned out to be a highly contentious divorce that included court appearances for a restraining order issued against my ex husband, a deposition, and a day-and-a-half trial - despite *many* attempts to reach a...greement before ultimately going trial. My entire case was wrapped up 11 months after I made contact with Kyle, in part because of his pro-active planning, organization, execution, and expertise. While I would not wish such a horrendous ordeal on anyone, I can say very confidently that there is no one I'd rather have represent me than Kyle. During court hearings and trial, Kyle was extremely professional and unflappable. He is polished, articulate, and calm. Over the course of nearly a year's worth of phone calls and meetings, I appreciated how well Kyle worked to present me with choices, guiding me to understanding but always making clear that in the end, *I* was the decision-maker. Kyle's compassion was balanced with a very neutral perspective that he maintained at all times; this was helpful to me in avoiding knee-jerk reaction decisions on a few occasions. Additionally, Kyle's staff was equally easy to work with, and I found them to be highly professional and thorough in the execution of their assignments, as well as being courteous and friendly. In the end, the judge awarded me a custody schedule that was BETTER than what I had asked for. The opposing counsel in the trial informed Kyle that he had delivered "the best closing argument of any she'd heard." Kyle's inherent integrity, coupled with the respect he holds not only for the law but also for individual people, makes it clear that he is the only attorney you should consider hiring. I am forever grateful for the exceptional work he did in representing me.

Be wary of billing practices.

Many expect to receive padded bills from attorney representation. I experienced this with this attorney after my action was completed. There is a meeting listed on bill that never took place to my recollection. The amount held in trust was not refunded as he told me. Additionally, there is itemiz...ation down to "processing and email...file and print for client's file." You will hire 1 attorney and actually you'll hire at least 2. You meet with the lead and then next meeting a 2nd attorney is brought in for additional fee. They will want you to continue paying the 1st attorney because he is one of the PC's owners and "must review another licensed attorney's work." Once the #2 attorney is onboard, don't expect to be talking to Kyle outside of emails and phone messages.

I regret that this client was unhappy with the nature of the billing on his/her matter. I wish the client would have discussed with me directly any issues he had, as I am confident I could have clarified any confusion and resolved his/her concerns.

Highly recommendable!

I have used Kyle over the past 3-4 years. He was very knowledgeable, experienced, and humble in regards to his job. I received quick responses to emails and voicemails, usually before the day's end. He was very empathetic to my terrible situation, and made it very comfortable for me. I reside ou...t of state, so communication, responsiveness, and being direct was a requirement for me, which Kyle surpassed with flying colors. He helped me out, and I was granted more visitation, amongst other things, than the opposing party wished me to have. If I was in a similar situation again, I would retain Kyle in a heartbeat. I highly recommend him.
