James Walter Curd

James W. Curd is an experienced attorney who truly cares about his clients and gives personal service in a friendly, down-to-earth manner.

The Curd Law Firm was established in 1994 with the idea of bringing a client-centered appoach  to the paractice of law.

James is deeply rooted in his community and is committed to local issues as well as areas of state and national interest. He is considered somewhat of a maverick and independent thinker in the legal profession for bringing new ideas and fresh, honest approaches to the practice of law. James believes strongly in treating people right, with respect and honesty.

James has been a guest speaker at several organizations, churches, schools, nursing homes, community clubs, and at special events. He has been a youth and high school sports coach for over twenty-five years.

James graduated from Virginia Tech with honors where he was an All-Conference Track and Field athlete. He then graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law with distinction.

James has tried cases in the courts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and in the federal courts for the Wetsren District of Virginia. He has also handled appeals to the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Virginia.
