Peter Linn Goldman

He was a CJA lawyer (contract public defender for the feds) who represented me during a federal tax case. He made no effort whatsoever to advocate for me, or even object to the tax loss stated by the government. Rude, uncommunicative, and just outright unprofessional. Apparently he is also poo...rly regarded in the Alexandria, VA legal community. I feel bad for anyone who gets him as their court appointed attorney.

I retained Mr. Goldman for representation in a federal court criminal matter. He met me in his office on a Sunday. Since then, he keeps me completely informed about the case, he explains the law to me, engages me in discussions, responds immediately to my calls and emails. Mr. Goldman was my court-appointed attorney for a federal tax matter and unfortunately he was the embodiment of why court-appointed lawyers get such a bad reputation. Mr. Goldman was simply there to collect a paycheck and made no effort whatsoever to defend me nor object to any of the government'...s claims. Mr. Goldman was uncommunicative and made no effort to advocate for me during the pre-sentencing phase of my case.
