David C. Hagan

David Hagan is a lawyer at Friedman, Grimes, Meinken & Leischner PLLC, practicing primarily family law and criminal defense. Mr. Hagan will both resolve and litigate issues in all aspects of domestic relations cases, such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, settlement agreements, property rights, pre-nuptial agreements, and post-divorce disputes. He also practices adoption law, which is unique. He litigates protective order cases and misdemeanor criminal defense cases, including traffic and assault/battery cases.

Mr. Hagan is also very active in the community, for law based projects, such as Titan Law, a high school education program, Colors of Justice, and handles pro bon cases for Legal Services of Northern Virginia. He is the Past President of the Alexandria Bar Association Foundation, incoming Present of the Alexandra Bar Association, Member of the Virginia State Bar Council and Treasurer of NOVABAA.

Mr. Hagan received his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law, where he also served as a student advisor in the George Mason Veterans and Service members Legal Clinic, where he provided pro bono legal assistance to veterans and their families on issues such as civil contract disputes, veterans discharge upgrades, adoptions, consumer warranty concerns, and other matters.
