I came to the US a few years back, and like with any other aspiring immigrant, there are a lot of steps involved in order to become legalized and stay and work in the country. Once we received our scheduled interview appointment, we met with her again to go over what would be asked, what to bring, etc. Between our first meeting and getting the green card in the mail, I think it was about 6-7 months.
