Elinor Tesfamariam is a managing member and immigration attorney at Plenpovo Law. Prior to establishing Plenpovo Law, Mrs. Tesfamariam was the co-founder and Managing Member of Immigration and Human Rights Law Group, where she successfully managed many employment-based visa cases, family visas, and detention cases.
Passionate about ensuring justice for all, Mrs. Tesfamariam has vigorously developed an expertise in immigration and human rights issues. Actions taken by Mrs. Tesfamariam regarding, key human rights and immigration issues include: holding “Know Your Rights” seminars, holding seminars on female genital mutilation (or cutting) (FGM or FGC), offering educational sessions on the Rwandan genocide, assisting in the creation of fair anti-drug enforcement laws and sentencing guidelines.
Mrs. Tesfamariam is originally from Eritrea, East Africa. She immigrated from Africa to the United States at the age of 13 years old. Mrs. Tesfamariam has experienced the difficult living conditions in Africa first-hand, and is also familiar with the struggles and triumphs faced by an immigrant in the United States.
Mrs. Tesfamariam earned her law degree from Seattle University School of Law. She also holds a bachelor degree in Law and Diversity from Western Washington University. She is a member the Washington State Bar Association.
