Biography

With a career spanning nearly 30 years in law, education, and public service, I am an attorney, educator, and community leader dedicated to using knowledge and experience to serve others

I served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia, representing multiple state agencies providing services to people with disabilities. I also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Richmond School of Law, teaching Federal Indian Law

While raising my only child, I worked with Chesterfield County Public Schools as a Social Studies teacher and Special Education Coordinator. I was known for innovative teaching, strong student-teacher relationships, and strong partnerships with families and the community.

A lifelong musician and educator, I have served as agent for and negotiated contracts on behalf of many performers. I serve on the Board of Directors for a theatre company, and have advised companies and individuals on entertainment matters.

I have more than 20 years of experiences in Estate Planning on a part-time basis, and have now committed to providing legal services full time.

Education Law

I was a building Principal at the High school and elementary level for 22 years. I consulted Ms. Richardson on multiple occasions for legal advice in both the executional and general education realms. Her advice guided difficult decisions and definitely kept within the bounds of the law. I recommend ...her in the highest terms for your legal needs.

Great listener and adviser

Dana listened to our wishes and concerns and prepared a will for us that gave us an immense peace of mind. She’s friendly and easy to work with. I know I can trust her to help with any legal need I have.

Fantastic support!

Martin-Richardson Law has helped my dad and I with getting his affairs in order. Losing my mother unexpectedly she didn’t have things taken care of. M-R Law helped walk us through this then guided us through taking care of my dad’s wishes. Martin-Richardson Law has also supported me as an educator ...with special education law and serving my students. Martin-Richardson Law also helped me with a rental property left to me and putting things in a legal order based on the agreement given and supported me as needed when things arose. This law firm has years of knowledge and expertise to support you and prepare what you may need!

  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
