Excellent divorce attorney

Jennifer was an up front, no-nonsense attorney for my divorce in Virginia. I knew from my initial consultation that she was the right fit for me. She assisted with my separation agreement and provided invaluable legal advice about maneuvering through the process and managing potentially contentious i...ssues. All of this occurred during the pandemic. She is well known and highly respected within the Northern Virginia legal systems. I recommend her unequivocally.

Helped to ensure most important outcome of keeping the child as the overriding priority.

Jennifer helped me get through a “collaborative divorce” process that became less collaborative as time went on. She provided wise counsel, including realistic but hard-to-accept projections of where I was likely to prevail and where I would waste my resources by fighting against existing statutes... or case law. While I certainly ended up with financial spousal support payments that are extremely difficult and bitter to swallow, Jennifer helped to keep me grounded and to focus on what the collaborative process’ singular aim is: namely, the child. Did the sniping at each other magically stop between my ex-wife and me? No. Would that have been a result that any lawyer could have achieved? No. But can I rely on a well-crafted Marital Settlement Agreement to keep my child physically close to me so that I can spend beautiful and regular time with her as she grows up? Yes. And is that a direct result of Jennifer’s excellent guidance about how to tie together all of the fraught issues involved in a divorce? Absolutely. Hopefully I don’t need to hire Jennifer again for divorce-related issues. But she’d be my first choice if I required such assistance in the future.

Highly Reputable

Jennifer navigated a unique and rather contentious case with incredible expertise and sophistication. She went above and beyond the call of duty to help me through a difficult case during a global pandemic. She handled all communication in a prompt, timely, and professional manner despite multiple t...wists and turns. Her knowledge and poise is second to none. Jennifer is also highly respected by local colleagues and judges in Arlington County and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone seeking legal advice in the area of divorce or family law, she is simply the best.

Superb Experience

I hired Ms. Bradley to help me convert a sign separation agreement in to a divorce. I found her to be responsive, knowledgable and thorough. She quickly identified areas of our separation agreement that needed to be updated and helped me navigate some complex questions regarding military retirement.... I absolutely recommend her based on my experience.

Divorce in VA

After a ton of research, I interviewed 3 other attorneys in the Northern Virginia area before meeting Jennifer Bradley. One question I asked each one was, “If the conflict check had precluded you from representing me, who would you recommend I interview next to represent me?” Every single one of thos...e 3 attorneys pointed me toward MDMB as a firm and Jennifer Bradley specifically as an attorney. It was immediately evident from our initial consultation that Jennifer was competent and experienced. I gradually learned that she was a fantastic listener while also being a patient explainer, a diligent planner but also a savvy strategist. She was on top of everything from day one. The thing that really sets Jennifer apart though, and I think this is probably why she is so respected by her peers, is that she is client first – and not in the slogan-y/buzzword-y sense that many firms probably use in their advertisements. There are firms out there that see divorce as an industry and see their firm’s mission within that industry as maximizing profit, even at the expense of their client. They do this by protracting negotiations unnecessarily, under-supervising or under-training junior associates and fostering unrealistic expectations in their clients’ demands. As a client, this creates a dynamic where you end up spending more on legal fees than the value of that last trivial item that was being argued over during that drawn out back and forth. By contrast, Jennifer uses her experience to tell you at the very beginning, based on the facts of your situation how things are likely to pan out if you go to court – which she knows based on her wealth of experience in family law at an elite level in one of the country’s most demanding legal markets. She then proceeds to drive toward that outcome as quickly as possible, outside of court, which saves you money and stress (even if it means she has to spoon-feed the statutes and precedent to the other side because she knows the law better than they do). To me, this is what it really means to put your client first. Divorce is stressful enough, do yourself a favor and hire a competent, pragmatic and talented attorney, like Jennifer Bradley.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
