Biography
Ellennita Hellmer grew up in the Southwest and graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with honors. After her adopted city of New Orleans was devastated by Hurricane Katrina, she worked with Catholic Charities resettling evacuees. It was during this time that she developed a passion for Immigration Law. She graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2014, earning awards and recognition for her human rights work. Ms. Hellmer currently practices immigration law in Woodbridge, Virginia where she focuses on removal defens, asylum claim, family petition, and the representation of unaccompanied minors.
