Derek S Cervoni

Mr. Derek Cervoni sucessfuly represented me at a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) to get my Social Security Disability (SSDI) in April of 2016. I had initially applied for SSDI on my own and was denied. I also filed the first appeal (reconsideration) on my own and lost that as well.... When I first called Mr. Cervoni I was put at ease as he asked detailed questions about my disability and how far along I was in the SSDI process. I could tell that he had great expierence by the questions he asked and by the way he asked him. He did not rush me and allowed me to ask him several questions as well. He told me he had represented other clients before my assigned ALJ and was very familiar with the vocational expert that would be at my hearing. I then met with him in person at his office and hired him. He immediately began working on my case. I have an extremely complicated medical history with over 2,000 pages of medical records. Derek quickly contacted all of my doctors to get the records. Derek even had my doctors fill out questionnaire created by him that were specific to my diseases and symptoms. He also guided me on what financial and employment records needed to be submitted to the ALJ before the hearing. Throughout the whole process Mr. Cervoni did an excellent job at keeping me informed. He always returned my voicemails and emails promptly. This made me feel like I was his only client and the success of my case was of upmost importance to him. He met with me in person before the hearing to prepare for how the hearing would be conducted and what questions the ALJ would ask me. The hearing was an overwhelming expierence but having Derek at my side made me feel confident and prepared. I could tell that the ALJ and vocational expert at the hearing greatly respected Derek and they took him seriously. Derek made it clear to the both of them that based on my medical records I was not able to do any type of work. He referenced specific records to demonstrate his arguments. At the end of the hearing the ALJ asked Derek for some additional medical information and gave a deadline of one week. Derek was able to quickly get that information to the ALJ. Once everything was submitted Derek said it would take around 6 weeks to hear from the ALJ. About six weeks later I got a phone call from Derek saying that the ALJ had approved my SSDI!!!! My only regret is not hring Derek to represent me from the begining of the SSDI process. If you are serious about winning your social security disability you should hire Derek Cervoni.

Choosing an attorney is difficult. Mr. Cervoni was recommended to me by another attorney. After consulting with Mr. Cervoni, I felt he was professional and the right person for my disability case. He was clear on what he needed from me. After I provided him the information and documentation, it was a... matter of a couple days and he had the appeal submitted to Social Security. He explained what to expect and how long it may take. Most importantly, anytime I called with a question, he either answered the phone right away or he called back me back very quickly and all my questions were answered. Mr. Cervoni won my disability benefits on the first appeal! Once disability was awarded, I was bombarded with mail from both SSA and SSI that at times contradicted themselves. Even though Mr. Cervoni had already been paid, he took the time and helped me sort through the letters to make sure I completely understood what was happening. It was always a pleasure speaking with Mr. Cervoni. He always made me feel like my case was important to him. He never rushed speaking on the phone so that he could move on to the next client. He is polite and professional and truly deserves 5 stars of excellence.
