Not professional and poor quality job

I do not recommend Nana Babington as a lawyer and I would rate her 0 if I could. She has failed my citizenship case, even though it was an easy one if applied at the right time. Because I was away from the US for 10 months during the past 5 years, I needed an attorney to give me a legal advice on whe...n I should apply for my US Citizenship. So, on October 2019, I scheduled a PAID telephone appointment with Ms. Babington regarding this matter where she advised that I was already eligible to apply for US Citizenship. Further, I made the FULL payment (both the application fee and attorney fees) and she filed my case. Unfortunately, when I arrived at my interview I understood that being away from the States for 10 months I have broken the continuous residency requirement and as a result my case will be denied. The denial letter clearly explained that in case of absence over 6 months one must have some ties with the USA (either have an immediate family member residing in the USA, or be employed in the USA, or retain full access to his/her US abode). Unfortunately, I could not meet any of those requirements and Ms. Babington was aware of this. Upon receiving my denial letter, I called Ms. Babington and she promised to assist me to re-apply for citizenship. However, during this process she put me on hold for 2 weeks, then did not reply to my emails for days and refused to answer my phone calls. Later she emailed me saying that she was very busy with trial cases and that she did not have the time for courtesy cases. I emailed her back asking why she considered my case as courtesy since the case was failed due to her negligence and I have already wasted $1500 and 1 year of my time during this citizenship process and was not planing to waste anymore. She called me humiliating and blocked my emails. I have emailed her from a different account asking for a refund so I could find another attorney to work with. I have been patiently waiting for her to reply for OVER ONE month and haven't received anything to this day! Very unprofessional. So, long story short, please save your time and money and file your cases with a trusted lawyer. I am attaching her email as well as the part of the denial letter in my google review.

It seems Ms. Aysel continuous to harass me. Ms. Aysel was very well explained about continuous residence and the factors to overcome the presumption of the break in the continuity at the time of her initial consultation and before her USCIS interview. Very unfortunate, at the time of her interview she failed to explain her intent to continue residing the US. As I have successfully represented Ms. Aysel's family member, I charged her a discounted rate for her naturalization case, which required additional work of calculating her frequent absences. When she was working on refiling her naturalization application, I assisted her several times without charging her. Based on Ms. Aysel's behavior, I can certainly say that no good deed goes unpunished. I responded to Ms. Aysel's multiple emails. When I was busy with a trial, she bombarded my office with phone calls and emails, while she was explained that I was in a trial. Still I responded to Ms. Aysel and asked her not to call and write because I was busy with a trial. At that time Ms. Aysel started with series of insulting emails. My attempts to reason with her were unsuccessful. Ms. Aysel has not stopped. At that point it made no sense to continue communicating with her. By the way, Ms Aysel stated that this year she referred some clients. She certainly would not refer anybody, unless she was satisfied with my legal services. I am deeply regretful that this relationship ends this way. I have always been very respectful and attentive to Ms. Aysel's legal needs. However, it is beyond my control. Ms. Aysel has not complained to me about my services until I was busy with my current cases and was not able to respond to her immediately. My assistant asked her to wait until Monday for my response, but instead of waiting she decided to start complaining about my services. A former client should be more respectful towards attorney's time, while receiving free services. I wish my best to Ms. Aysel, even though I doubt that she stops traumatizing me any time soon.

Professional services

Mrs Babington represented my family in the immigration case. She was a huge help, and definitely got me the best outcome to my case. She always responds and takes her time to explain everything to you as well. I am appreciative of the professional services that I've experienced with Mrs Babington.

Family Law

I have been Ms. Babington's client for the past 10 years. She has been with me through every step of the way with custody issues and child support. She helped me through tough times, including emergency custody situations when my ex-husband kidnapped our daughter on multiple occasions. Her price ...is reasonable and she is fluent in Russian (an added benefit for Russian speakers).
