Represented a driver and his passenger in a suit in Fairfax County. The pair had been struck by a drunk driver headed the wrong way on the Dulles Toll Road. Following the accident, my client's attemp ... ted to render aid to the defendant. However, when he saw them approached his car, he kicked out the windshield of his car and ran off into a nearby neighborhood. He was later found by the police knocking on doors asking for help. At the time, he was only wearing one shoe (as his other shoe had gotten stuck in the windshield). My clients sustained relatively minor neck and back injuries and were treated by a chiropractor. The initial offer from the insurance company was $15,000. Shortly after we filed suit, we recieved and accepted an offer from the insurance company to pay the $50,000 policy limits in each case.

Represented a husband and wife who were rear ended by a drunk driver on their way home from a Redskins game in December of 2007. Wife suffered from soft tissue injuries and was treated by the emergenc ... y room doctors and by a chiropractor. Husband had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment for possible closed head injuries (thankfully - he did not sustain any permanent injuries). The Defendant initially claimed that he hadn't had more than two beers during the course of the game and that the accident was actually my client's fault somehow! However, during discovery it came out that he didn't actually remember the accident and that his blood alcohol concentration at the time of the crash was 0.21 (nearly three times the legal limit in Virginia). Before coming to my office, the husband had been offered $20,500 to settle his claim and the wife had been offered $12,000. Approximately two months before trial in Fairfax County, the offers were increased to $85,000 and $55,000.
