Thanks to Gus and his diligence now I have the US citizenship. From the outset, he identified some of the key issues in the case that could have been a major roadblock including the 90 day residence issue. I was then given a strategy to prove the 90 day presence using hard evidence. As we th...en prepared to file my application, I used his online portal to capture data for my application. The data was then thoroughly reviewed and the application was then prepared and filed with the utmost levels of professional standards. He then kept me informed throughout the process timely about any communications from the government. Finally, he identified the softest issue in the application process and devised a response which proved strong at the time of the interview. My case required a high degree of legal competence and the tools he employed helped in the positive outcome.

I hired Mr. Shihab for my Change of Status application almost 3 years ago, and after seeing how professional he and his associates were, I decided to hire him again for my Adjustment of Status application. Mr. Shihab and his associates worked above and beyond to file my documents on time - very profe...ssional work and great follow-up. They even were proactive and scheduled an an appointment to discuss my Green Card interview a week before the appointment date with the USCIS. They followed up with me after the interview to make sure everything went well, until I have received my Permanent Resident Card a week ago :) I am not usually the kind of person who writes reviews; however, when it came to what Mr. Shihab and his team has done to my case, and how nice, professional, and understanding they were, I couldn't help myself from doing so. ***NTA under section 240 - Notice of Hearing In Removal Proceeding for Over stay*** My mom from India used to visit us in the U.S on B2 visa (tourist), last year after her last visit to U.S we received a “Notice To Appear and Removal Proceeding for Over stay” under section 240 from DHS and from lo...cal immigration court /ICE, my mom departed the US long before we received this notice and she did NOT overstay. I tried contacting DHS and local immigration court to communicate to them about this notice that was issued by error, but no luck. This Notice To Appear will stop her from entering the U.S in the future and she is the only family I have, I tried several times to communicate to DHS/ICE, DHS NTA unit and local immigration court by sending all the document proof that I have on her departure from U.S and did not overstay, but no reply back from any of the department. I gave up, and started searching online for Attorney, I found Mr.Shihab with very good reviews, so I contacted him the same day. Talked to him for 15 minutes, I got confidence, he listened to me and answered all my questions in the initial consultation. He explained me the process and how to resolve his case, I signed up and within a week he submitted the paperwork to Chief Counsel and he sent me the proof for submitting all the documents and also he talked to them about this case. In 4 weeks the Chief Counsel agreed and recommended to the immigration court to DISMISS the case based on Mr.Shihab points. Two weeks after that the Immigration court GRANTED to DISMISS the case without prejudice. I am so happy, NO WORDS TO SAY, HE IS THE BEST.

Due to USCIS error, my green card was in limbo for more than 8 years. I had used Congress representatives and followed up with the USCIS myself numerous times, including other attornies. I finally hired Gus Shihab and his team. He was no bull guy. Asked for a few days to research the case as a cas...e like mine never happened in US before. Even USCIS agents agreed it was their fault but could not find a ruke or law or statute on correcting it. Few attornies advised me to stay on GC for ever and some advised to renounce my current GC and apply through my wife (she got her citizen ship as a dependent on my employment GC - go figure). He launched a lawsuit against the USCIS and in few months not only did he correct the green card error, but he also was able to get my naturalization process expedited. I found Mr. Shihab to be efficient and timely. He solved a problem that has lingered for 8 years in only few months.
