I was charged with driving on a suspended license second offense as a result of an accident i was involved in. The prosecutor in my case stated during my arraignment that the commonwealth wanted to "make an example" out of my case and I. I was looking a potential 90 day jail sentence and losing my li...cense for a year. I had no idea my license was suspended at the time of the accident but got it reinstated less than 48 hours after finding out. I thought it was a pretty open and shut case but the Commonwealth Attorney didnt think so. So instead of trying to hear my case myself i sought counsel through Stephen and his firm. From day one Stephen was nothing but professional with me and the matters of my case. He was always quick to update me on the status of my case and thoroughly explained the process of my case. On our first court date, we were looking to get my charge dropped but the prosecutor was still very adamantly seeking stiff punishment for my charge and offered some less than desirable plea deals. Stephen gave me his honest opinion that he thought we could do better if not beat the case in a trial, but was very clear that it was always my choice in how to proceed. I never felt pressured into making a decision either way. Be that he is an attorney, I thought it was best to take his advice and not take either plea deal. We were given another court day for trial two months away. In that two months I spoke with Stephen a few times, he never left an email unanswered or phone call not returned. He even reached out just to see how i was doing. Ive had a few lawyers in the past for various reasons and I had never had one of them do that before. As court approched Stephen worked tirelessly to prepare. The day before my trial, He explained to me in great detail our defense. He eased my nerves and I felt as confident as one could. On the day of trial, Stephen was upbeat and positive and I could not say the same for myself. Before trial, the Prosecution offered one more plea deal, but Stephen stuck to his guns and advised we could do better but it was my choice. I told him i had complete faith in him and his defense and we were not taking the deal. Trial began. Stephen exicuted his plan and was able to reach the virdict of Not Guilty! I was elated! I owed it all to Stephen and his commitment to me and my case. Im not planning on needing an attorney anytime again in the foreseeable future, but if i do, or here of anyone that does, Stephen is my guy.
