Excellent, knowledgeable and professional lawyer (Divorce case)

I admit, I am a difficult person to work with! In my divorce court battle of two years, I changed two sets of lawyers (some who have been highly rated as the absolute "best" in VA costing more than $500 an hour). Matt Hughes was the third, and a charm he certainly was. Matt definitely brought me bac...k confidence in my case, and at the end, I got everything I wanted, seriously. I am very thankful that now I get to spend much precious time with my kids and do all the things I want to do with them. When my "calculation" said I should pay $1000+ in child support, Matt managed to bring it down to $200. Matt is responsive on email and text. Paying him is easy and flexible. Setting up the file exchange on the cloud was very helpful, rather than mailing paperwork through snail mail and office visits, etc. I should also mention that I hired Matt during Covid. I looked him up online, hired him online, emailed and uploaded all the documents online, he wrapped up the case, and we never even met once in person - much as I would like to(!) but Covid dictates otherwise. I got to "see" him once on Zoom in the hearing before the actual court trial. We had such a strong case that the opposite side literally waited until the day before trial to agree to all our demands - avoiding trail and settling outside court. I wholeheartedly recommend Matt Hughes.

"Mr. Hughes was easy to work with and professional both in and outside of the courtroom. He also prepared diligently for the trial that we had together. I understand that he handles employment law matters for which I will be referring clients over."

"Matt and I worked together while we wore an Air Force uniform as JAGs when we were both on active duty, and I also went up against him after he joined the private sector. In addition to us sharing the same last name (unrelated), I have always enjoyed working with Matt because of his reasonableness and ability to stay cool under pressure. It makes for a great recipe to achieve the goals of his clients, and he has my endorsement!"
