This was my first and last reckless driving ticket but Liza’s professional demeanor helped me get through this process and was very knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with this type of case. I had initially made contact with Ms. Liza through a recommendation a few months prior to my cases. Needless to say there were many things I was concerned about. She helped address my court cases effectively and let me know of what the outcomes may be and what I could do or expect out of them. With l...ittle to no notice of whether or not I was going to hire her or not, I’d contacted her a FEW days prior to the court date about representing me expecting that it would be too late and that it potentially could go worse than anticipated. Regardless of my own doubts, Ms. Liza helped me out in a tight spot and I’m grateful for having the opportunity to have been able to hire her. When I received two citations within a week and neither was deserved, I was at my wits end. I had a clean record and 4 positive points. Now I was looking at two reckless driving citations that I had to go to court for and could not waive. I have an old flip phone that I never use while driving, my... wife was in Ohio to make arrangements for her brother's funeral. She called and I answered because I knew it was important. The traffic was heavy, so we weren't moving very fast at all. She was having car trouble along with other problems. We were on the phone exactly 2 minutes. During that time a Virginia State patrolman saw me and had me pull over. He wouldn't listen to my explanation and told me I had to appear in court because holding a phone while driving was under the reckless driving statute which could be charged as a felony! Six points on the license and possible suspension. I couldn't believe it. Ten days later, after I had stopped to make a right hand turn on red, I was blindsided by a driver who went up on the median strip and tried to come back down hitting me on the driver's side. I ended up on the opposite side of the median strip and he was on the right side. He asked if I was ok and then said he was sorry he hit me. I saw his truck when I stopped to turn on the other side of the intersection where many others had been when I made the turn for years. He had to have been going well past the speed limit (probably to make the light) and then saw me when it was too late. He said he had no choice but to go up on the median strip in order to not hit me, but there was an oncoming car, so he had to come off of it without crossing to the other side. We both knew he was at fault, since he came from behind me and could have simply gone in the other lane as the merge and regular lane continued for quite a way yet. He did not want to call the police saying his truck was old anyway. But I told him without a police report the insurance would not pay. Eventually he relented and called. The officer said he was having trouble visualizing how the accident occurred. So, he went back to his vehicle and attempted to draw a picture with us trying to explain. When he finished, he went back to his car for about a half hour. When he came back, we were both shocked. He cited me for failure to yield. Since it was a reckless driving charge with the accident, I again had to go to court and faced the same possible consequences as with the phone. On top of that, the court and court date were the same. The officer wouldn't change the date so it would be the same judge as well! I could not believe it. The more I researched the charges the more nervous. I became. I went to many lawyers' web sites. Eventually, I chose Liza Greenspun Yang based on what her firm and her have done in this area. We spoke in person, and I described what happened. She was able to calm me down somewhat with her assurance of working the court I was assigned to and knowing the prosecutors and judges. The day we went to court, I was a wreck. Liza spoke with the prosecutor about the phone case before it was to be called up to the judge, while I waited in the hall. When she came back, she told me she fully explained my situation and he actually agreed to nolle prosequi the charge which means it was totally dismissed! No points, no fine, no court costs! Even she said that was pretty rare, but I think she was being modest. It was her. The other case was much more serious, so I was still worried. We had to wait quite a while because the officer had many cases. When he came, Liza discussed the case with him and the prosecutor. She was able to explain to him a more reasonable explanation. She was able to get the charge reduced to faulty equipment with a $25 fine and court costs. No points, nothing on my license. I would recommend Liza to anyone no matter how hopeless they feel their case(s) is. She is without a doubt, the best attorney I have ever worked with.

Words cannot describe the gratitude I have towards Liza Yang. I have hired many attorneys that could not get the outcome she did for me in court.
