On February 20, 2015 in Fairfax County General District Court I had a hearing regarding a DWI, 1st charge, BAC of .15%. Here is what the court sentenced me to: • 30 days in jail with... 30 days suspended, • A loss of license for 3 months with restrictions, • Unsupervised probation for 12 months, • A $150.00 fine plus $92.00 in court costs, • Enroll in VASAP. Worse case scenario would have been 10 days in jail, and a loss of license for one year, which would have resulted in my loss of job, and high fines & insurance rates for years to come... I was caught speeding at 92 in a 55 at about 4 AM as I was rushing to visit a dying a relative. As a young, just out of college graduate who was out of state, I really didn't know a lot about the speeding process and how best to obtain a lawyer.
