Daniel Joseph McCollum

Daniel McCollum was born in Leesburg, Virginia. He grew up in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and graduated from Shepherd University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. After earning his undergraduate degree, Daniel enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he honed his craft in research, writing, and public speaking by briefing complex issues to flag officers and other senior government executives. Daniel previously served or consulted at the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Naval Intelligence, Defense Intelligence Agency, National Counterterrorism Center, and Office of the Secretary of Defense.

While working full time, Daniel earned his J.D. from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. He now focuses his practice on criminal defense, where he assists clients who are experiencing an especially difficult time. Daniel’s calming presence, easy going nature, and ability to effectively communicate complex information in an easily understood manner are what sets him apart from others.

Daniel lives in Fairfax County, with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, Daniel suffers as a New York Giants fan, but enjoys exercise, spending time with his family, and traveling.
