Anna Katherine Dvorchik

Hired Anna to represent me in Criminal Court in August 2018. Anna had a real good understanding of my charges and situation, and after our initial meeting and follow up prior to court, planned the defense strategy. Once in Court however, based on the Prosecutor’s questioning and complainant’s answers..., Anna took charge of the proceedings and objected to all immaterial matter and answers that did not seem factual. The Judge listened patiently to Anna’s objections and agreed to approximately 90% of the objections. As the Court proceedings were already looking favorable to my outcome, Anna asked if I wanted to testify and cautioned me on doing so, and recommended not too. I decided not to testify, this way I did not have to go through cross examination by the Prosecutor. Anna in turn, questioned the complainant on the charges and made sure only the facts that pertained to the case were brought forward for the Judge to rule on. Anna listens patiently, is quick to adapt, and is very knowledgeable of how the law works. As the title implies, Anna was “Point On” and I was found not guilty…

Anna advocated for me and fought for my life, she always answered my calls and worked very hard on my case, jail time was to be unavoidable on 3 felony drug possessions (I also had prior felony convictions) but she was able to get my charges reduced and I did not go back to jail. I’m so grateful that... I had her to represent me, she walked me through everything and truly cared about my life and the outcome.

Her due diligence and tenacity in getting the details right, were spot on. She would at times even provide informatio...n to other attorneys that they obviously didn't have a handle on. She worked hard on getting and preparing the right witnesses including myself. Anna was successful in getting my primary goal awarded by the court. There were other goals that were not met but I saw that as a failing of the system based on the judges’ comments, since Anna worked hard in those areas as well. To be fully honest, my court experience left me somewhat disappointed with our legal system especially regarding how it deals with the legal aspects of mental health issues. Some of the lawyers I encountered in this process left a lot to be desired and one even did some things which shocked and bothered me. In my experience, Anna was the top bright spot and certainly a credit to her profession. I would hire Anna again in a heartbeat and give her my highest recommendation.
