My experience with the law office of Maury Watts was horrible. The case took over two and a half years to settle. During the course, I have moved to different cities and kept the office informed of my change of contact information. The personnel failed to update their records no matter how many ti...mes I have repeatedly called and reminded them. Mr. Watts claimed he has tried to contact me on several occasions, but this is NOT true. Not once did I have a single missed call, an email, or any type of correspondence from his office; and for me to have heard about the status of the case, I had to call their office and leave messages at least 10 times in row before I heard back from anyone regarding the matter. My expected settlement after costs and such was lower than comparable to other family and friends who have been victims of car accidents. Keep in mind, my case was severe in such that my car was totaled and I was a post-operative patient that was recently discharged from the hospital and recovering when the defendant decided to run a stop sign and T-bone my vehicle. Regardless, a friend referred me to the office of Mr. Watts, and I had hoped for the utmost professional services. However, this experience was quite opposite--their staff is unprofessional, unfriendly, and services are horrible. They do not return calls on a timely matter nor keep the clients informed or instill a sense of confidence in the clients. They promise only 30% of the settlement would be for lawyer fees, however, they did not mention other fees which I was then told after the settlement. All that this office literally cares about is receiving a check. They do not even call you when they receive returned mail because they have incorrectly labeled the mailing address. I had to call myself and ask where my mail is! One more additional note, Mr. Watts outsourced my case to another attorney who was not a partner, and failed to inform me of this decision. Once again, I firmly stand by my opinion: The law office of Maury Watts is not recommended. Their services are unprofessional and do not respond to client needs.
