Rachel Blevins Harris

I'm the attorney behind The Shore Lawyer, a small-town law firm built on the belief that good legal planning should feel approachable—not overwhelming.

Located right on the state line between Maryland and Virginia’s Eastern Shore, I focus my practice on estate planning, probate, and helping families protect what matters most. I work with individuals and families to create plans that go beyond just “having a will,” with a strong emphasis on keeping loved ones away from frustration and conflict, and making things as easy as possible for the people left behind.

With more than 16 years of experience practicing in Maryland and 3 years practicing in Virginia, Rachel brings a practical, real-world perspective to her work. She regularly serves clients throughout Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset Counties in Maryland, as well as Accomack and Northampton Counties in Virginia.

Her practice is especially tailored to individuals and families who want clear guidance, practical solutions, and a lawyer who speaks in plain English—not legal jargon.

Before opening her firm, Rachel gained experience in both government and private practice, giving her insight into how legal issues actually play out in real life—not just on paper.

When she’s not working with clients, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenagers, staying active in her church and community, and finding ways to make legal information more accessible (and a little less intimidating) for everyone.
