Stephanie was retained by my spouse to represent my children in court. It was obv that Stephanie had chosen a side before I even spoke to her. During our first meeting she misrepresented our conversation to MY lawyer. She told him that I was going to fire him. This led to my Lawyer dropping me with ...5 days to trial. Further encounters with Ms Scales proved to play out in the same vapid manner. I had to make a report to CPS. When I contacted her about this report she didnt care. Instead she took the time to berate me because my Lawyers hadnt provided what she needed when asked. After that convo where she didnt get any details she unilaterally moved to remove my visitation time with my children. She is BRAND NEW in an area that is a good ol boy network. She moved her from out of state. And in order to get into the bizz you need to show yourself able to play well with the old boys, that means boot licking and doing what you are told. This woman also send threatening demand letters instead of requests for payments I have also been treated poorly by her staff. He abilities are greatly lacking. As her behavior led directly to the termination of my relationship with my lawyer I would categorize her as an extreme liability to anyone that actually wants to have a fair and uncontested divorce. BE WARNED - this is a good ol boy selection and you arent in control the lead attorney is in control. Stephanie has no footing to work from because she is an out of towner. Her only play is to do what she is told. She lacks the intelligence and the ability to be effective within a high conflict divorce.
