I am a family law mediator with a focus on bringing couples together to facilitate their divorce.  This may sound like an oxymoron, so please allow me to explain.

It begins with the story of a couple making the difficult decision to divorce. After pastoral counseling and marital counseling did not adequately resolve their issues, attorneys got involved and what should have been an uncontested divorce became contentious rather quickly.  The legal process of a divorce led to harmful effects on that family, and seeing those results drove me to become a family law mediator.

The emotional process of divorce is hard enough without the added stress, frustration and financial harship that sometimes comes along with the legal process of divorce.  Through mediation, I help couples honor their commitment to their families by finding a way to end the problem but not the relationship.
