Matthew was a Maryland public defender for over 15 years. During his tenure he represented thousands of individuals. He represented people who were charged all kinds of criminal offenses including jailable traffic offenses, misdemeanors and serious felonies such as assault, drug offenses and even murder.
He has been profiled in the Frederick News Post and been a featured guest on the season 3 premiere of the podcast "Members of the Jury."
Matthew knows what it's like to have a dirty hands type of job. Before he became a lawyer, he was a specialty carpenter and a baggage handler for 2 major airlines.
