This was an elder abuse case. I represented a daughter-in-law and granddaughter were accused of financial elder abuse and undue influence by the elder's estranged daughter. The daughter-in-law had take ... n care of and assisted her mother-in-law for many years. The granddaughter and the elder resided together for a couple of years. The elder decided to deed the home over to the granddaughter. The estranged daughter had believed that the home was suppose to be her inheritance.
