Shauntese Curry Trye

DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE:

Compassionate, savvy and a leader are just some of the words that describe Attorney Shauntese Curry Trye.

A visionary who knows how to get results, Ms. Trye is well known in the legal community for her innovative courtroom style.  Drawing on her professional experience, Ms. Trye is currently writing a book on marriage, relationships and parenting which she calls a “cookbook filled with recipes” on how to avoid “courtroom drama”.  Ms. Trye’s comments are frequently seen in magazines and newspapers and she has also been a guest on several radio and television shows.

Ms. Trye is admitted to the bars of the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.  She serves as Committee Chair for several bar associations. 

n 2011, Mrs. Trye was named as a 2011 Leading Woman by the Daily Record and has made the 2012, 2013 and 2015 SuperLawyers “RisingStars” list. She has been interviewed by several publications including SmartCEO magazine. She was a frequent guest speaker on public radio including Tell Me More with host Michel Martin from National Public Radio (NPR). She was also a frequent contributor and guest on The Marc Clarke Show on Baltimore’s My24 station. Ms. Trye has an extensive background in public speaking, having made numerous presentations.

 She is active with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Women’s Law Center, the Salvation Army, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and Family & Children Services of Maryland.  Ms. Trye will always point out that her most important accomplishment is her ability to have a positive impact on the lives of individuals
