also known as Ned Richardson, Edward H. "Ned" Richardson IV
Edward H. "Ned" Richardson IV has lived most of his life in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended The Park School of Baltimore; Towson University, from which he graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Philosophy and Sociology & Anthropology; and the University of Baltimore School of Law, from which he received his JD after graduating magna cum laude. He was admitted to the Maryland Bar Association in 2016.
While attending law school, Ned worked as a Law Clerk at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, Baltimore City Felony Trial Division. He was on the executive board of OUT Law, the school’s LGBTQ advocacy group, and he was a member of, and grant recipient from, University of Baltimore Students for Public Interest. His paper on the interplay between gender and the law, “Blind Justice: The Need to Introduce Diverse Perspectives into Our Legal System,” was published in the University of Baltimore Law Review. He was a research assistant for Ronald Weich, Dean of the School of Law and former Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department’s Office of Legislative Affairs, and for Gilda Daniels, Associate Professor of Law and former Deputy Chief in the Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Voting Section. He also gained experience as a student attorney with the University of Baltimore Civil Advocacy Clinic, representing low income clients in civil cases, including one of the first shielding cases under the Maryland Second Chance Act.
Since graduating law school, Ned has focused on family law litigation, handling cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and the representation of both petitioners and respondents in protective order proceedings. He believes in a client-centric, detail-oriented, and creative approach to family law, and values the personal connection he builds with his clients.
When not practicing law, Ned is a voracious reader, an unrepentant movie buff, and an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens, the Washington Capitals, and Tottenhan Hotspur. He lives in Towson, Maryland with his wife and his four cats.
