Aysia Monae Stockton

I’m originally from Richmond, Virginia. I earned my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Clark Atlanta University, where I built a strong foundation in the legal system. After graduating, I had the opportunity to clerk in the General District Court of Richmond for two years, which gave me valuable, hands-on courtroom experience before entering law school.

I was accepted into Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia, where I earned my Master’s degree in 2018 and my Juris Doctor in 2020. Shortly after graduating, I passed the Washington, D.C. Bar and was admitted to practice in Maryland.

After my admission to the Maryland Bar, I began practicing family law at a boutique firm. I later expanded my experience into child welfare law, representing children in the foster care system for two and a half years. Today, I’ve returned to my passion for family law, where I focus on helping local families navigate challenging legal situations with clarity and care.
