Suzanne Carol Shapiro

Suzanne C. Shapiro has experience handling every phase of civil litigation, with a particular interest in appellate litigation. She has handled appeals for over thirty years as counsel of record, personally arguing countless appeals in Maryland's appellate courts. Ms. Shapiro is skilled in constructing persuasive briefs and presenting effective winning arguments in court. She has set legal precedent in the areas of child advocacy, toxic and environmental tort litigation, governmental immunity and experimental research ethics. She has successfully protected multi-million dollar jury verdicts on appeal. Prior to starting her own law firm, Ms. Shapiro worked for a litigation practice, gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of civil litigation. Immediately following law school, Ms. Shapiro was a judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Ms. Shapiro distinguished herself in law school for her outstanding legal writing and analysis, as a member of her school’s Law Review.
