Lacks compassion for prospective clients

I had a very bad experience with this company. I called in reference to potentially filing bankruptcy and was greeted with condescension and flat out rudeness. I don’t know who called me back but I believe it was the owner who clearly did not know much about Maryland bankruptcy law, treated me like a... second class citizen, and pushed me to make a decision right then and there on the phone. My suggestion is to be more patient with prospective clients, show some compassion as bankruptcy has to be a well thought out decision and not to be taken lightly as one’s life will change in many different ways. If someone reaches out with financial struggles and contemplating bankruptcy, be more compassionate, practice active listening as you are no better than anyone.

Initial consultation-horrible

Customer service is key. It all started when first calling and an employee asked how they could help me. Who was I looking for? I received an email about a consultation. I’m than transferred into space no name of the person they transferred me to. That should have been my sign to just move on, but I ...called back. I’m trying to get answers. I called back and was transferred to Mr. Sirody. Who seemed rushed in the first 10 seconds of our conversation. I don’t know about him but if someone is calling your firm for assistance with a sensitive subject wouldn’t you want to make them feel welcomed. Like you were there to help. Yet He made me feel as if I should have know what he needed to know from me. I should have know what to say to start the conversation. If you need compassion and understanding this is not the firm to begin with.

Jeffrey Sirody botched my Chapter 13

I paid (in full) Mr. Sirody nearly 6 (six) weeks prior to the sale date of my home. At that time all of my documentation had also been submitted to his office. He never filed my bankruptcy which lead to my home being sold at auction without either my or his knowledge. Mr. Sirody told me that it ...was my responsibility to let him know what the sale date was and that would be his trigger to start my paper work. My Chapter 13 had to be converted into a Chapter 7. During our meeting, he was smug and condescending and blamed me for the error. That was the beginning of July. My bankruptcy was filed a month later in August. His office never contacted with updates or the date for my hearing. The only time they contacted me was for my last payment which was sent to them on May 9, 2013. I had no idea that my home could still be sold since he told me the filing would "stop the foreclosure dead in its tracks". I thought that since I had given him every piece of paper they had asked for, paid in full, I was covered.
