Christopher William Corey

In January 2011, Chris Corey joined Smith, Gildea & Schmidt as a law clerk and continued working for the firm while he was enrolled in law school. After passing the Maryland Bar Exam, Chris joined the firm as an associate, and he is currently a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Estates and Trusts Groups. During his time with the firm, Chris has worked on a wide range of complex real estate, land use, and zoning matters, in addition to focusing his practice on will and trust drafting, estate planning, and estate and trust administration.

Chris is a Cockeysville native and his educational background began in the Baltimore area at Dulaney High School. After high school, Chris received his B.A. degree from Louisiana State University. While attending Louisiana State University, Chris was active member of the community volunteering to help rebuild homes for hurricane Katrina refugees, and volunteering for several organizations which helped support U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Desiring to return to the Baltimore area, Chris attended the University Of Maryland School Of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the school’s Moot Court Executive Board.

Chris is also an avid sports fan and when not practicing law, he enjoys attending Ravens, Orioles, and University of Maryland games, along with occasional LSU football games.
