Michael L Sanders

For nearly a decade, Mr. Sanders defended doctors and hospitals who were being sued in medical negligence cases. In 2011, Mr. Sanders stopped his defense practice to focus solely on representing victims of medical negligence and other catastrophic injuries.

To date, he has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients and has tried numerous cases in the courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He joined D’Amore Personal Injury Law, LLC in March 2016 to continue his work on behalf of injured patients.

Michael L. Sanders is a Maryland native, having grown up in northern Baltimore County. He completed his undergraduate studies at Kenyon College and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Following graduation from law school, Mr. Sanders served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Thomas E. Marshall (retired) of the Circuit Court for Harford County where he saw first-hand the daily wins and losses of trial attorneys and decided that he wanted to be a litigator.

Mr. Sanders has been named as a rising star by Super Lawyers and has also become a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is reserved for those attorneys who have won million dollar verdicts or settlements for their clients. He has written on numerous issues related to medical negligence law, with a special focus on the issue of special needs children.

Mr. Sanders is admitted to both the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars, and has been specially admitted to the Bars of Ohio and Virginia.

Mr. Sanders lives in Towson. In his spare time, he can usually be found with his two kids or playing his Martin acoustic.
