Leah Katherine Barron

Leah K. Barron is a founding partner of Brown & Barron, LLC who has built her legal career protecting plaintiffs harmed by corporate malfeasance, with a particular focus on families who have lost loved ones to nursing home abuse or neglect. She developed a thriving nursing home abuse practice and is committed to providing clients with tenacious representation and an exceptional client experience. While in law school Leah was an editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal and earned honors for her public interest work, including a post-graduate fellowship. Before co-founding Brown & Barron she led a national practice as Team Leader at a prominent plaintiffs’ firm. Leah is active in the Maryland Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, and the Maryland State Bar Association; she has edited MAJ’s Trial Reporter, served on AAJ’s Law Schools Committee, and participates in MAJ and AAJ nursing home litigation sections. A frequent conference presenter, she has been named a Super Lawyer and recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as both a Top 40 Under 40 and a Top 100 Trial Lawyer. Prior to practicing law, Leah taught History and Government in Washington, D.C., and Baltimore public schools and has served on several community boards.
