Unfortunately, I worked with Jill and I did not feel I received the communication, transparency, or advocacy I expected from a personal injury attorney. Communication From start to finish, I often had to follow up repeatedly for updates and explanations. At one point, she hung up on me while I... was still asking basic questions about my settlement and expenses, which felt dismissive. Much of my communication went through an assistant, and I often felt I was doing a lot of the work myself by gathering records and paperwork. Billing and Medical Expenses My biggest concern was how the medical expenses were handled. I was billed about $1,500 for an MRI and roughly $650 to $680 for each 60-minute therapy session. In my opinion, those charges were excessive compared with the care I actually received. Some of the therapy felt minimal and mostly self-guided, and I did not feel the billing reflected the treatment. When I asked questions about the charges, I did not feel I received clear answers. I also had to speak directly with the adjuster about some of my losses, including my car, car seat, cell phone, and other items, because I did not feel those issues were being handled proactively. Settlement Process It took about a year to resolve my case. I accept the final settlement amount, but I do not feel the deductions and medical costs were handled fairly. I had to advocate for myself to get the settlement increased by $9,000, and I do not feel I should have had to push that hard when paying a 33% attorney fee for representation. Overall Experience Overall, I did not feel supported or properly represented. I felt like I had to stay on top of my own case throughout the process, and I left feeling disappointed with the level of service I received. If you are considering this WGK law firm, I would recommend asking detailed questions about communication, fees, and how medical expenses are reviewed before signing anything.
