Before joining the Quinn Law Group, Kat was Chief of Staff for State Senator Cheryl Kagan (District 17). Kat has also served as a Policy Advisor and Legislative Aid. “As Chief of Staff to State Senator Kagan, I worked with government and nonprofit leaders to develop and promote policy initiatives that make Maryland a more equitable and advantageous place to live and do business,” said Attorney Kat Costain Patton. “I have extensive experience deciphering complex issues and bringing stakeholders together to implement solutions. I bring that collaborative approach to my work as a lawyer.”

Katherine (Kat) Costain Patton received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore and is a graduate of the University of Maryland. In addition to legislative experience, Kat has worked as a real estate attorney and provided legal services to nonprofits. She lives in Baltimore with her husband and dog Pepper and is passionate about providing clients with thorough, earnest, perceptive, and conscientious advocacy services.
