Best plaintiffs' medical malpractice lawyer in Maryland

Kathy is a terrific lawyer. She spent about 20 years handling medical malpractice defense before switching to the plaintiffs' side, and I think that is what makes her so great. She has the ability to see a case objectively, as a jury would see it, and that perspective allowes her to tell you candid...ly the strengths and weaknesses of your claim. I have recommended her to many other satisfied clients over the years. About 5 years ago, I had a sad occasion to use her services myself. She resolved my claim in a fair and expeditious way that did not add to my trauma. She is kind but tough and well respected by lawyers and doctors on both sides of the table. I give her my highest recommendation.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I endorse this lawyer. Kathleen is recognized by the Bench and the Bar as one of the top medical and professional malpractice trial lawyers in Maryland. She really spends herself for her clients and at the same time, contributes to the legal profession and bar associations by presenting seminars to other lawyers."

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I was an opposing attorney in a complicated medical malpractice case with Ms. Meredith. She did an outstanding job representing her client. She took dozens of depositions of medical experts, knew the medicine as well as the experts and quickly identified and exposed the weaknesses in opinions of medical experts hired by the defense. Her inclusion in some of the most prestigious and exclusive legal organizations is justified by the impressive results she obtains for her clients in a difficult practice area where skilled lawyers often fail clients with meritorious cases."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
