Fred Allentoff

I have never written a review on anyone, but Attorney Fred Allentoff receives "kudos" from me for the way he handled my Divorce. From 1st meeting to the end, he was nothing short of professional and his knowledge of the law concerning my situation was 2nd to none. He always kept me in the loop about ...where things stood. He was up front with my case and where I stood throughout the entire process. He responded to my emails timely and was available for one on one discussions. I have to be honest, it was rough for me at times, and although Fred was compassionate concerning my situation, he let me know that he was hired by me to do a job. He told me it was business and I had to take the emotion out. This is another reason why I really, really respected him; his truthfulness and him wanting to do the best job for me. He always greeted me with a smile and a warm handshake, but when I came to his office I knew it was time to get down to business! I also appreciated that as far as cost was concerned, he was always, always upfront with me. I'd met with a Lawyer prior to Atty. Allentoff and was given a quote for initial services, and no more. Atty. Allentoff explained his fee from the beginning, including what it would cost initially and what it could cost if I had to extend his services. His services were extended and it was well worth it; I'm very pleased with the outcome. I will definitely recommended Attorney Allentoff to anyone that asks or is searching for a Lawyer. First, I would like to say that I rarely do reviews on social media, but I am motivated in this case. Finding myself facing a divorce, I didn't know who to call. I got a strong recommendation to see Fred. We talked first on the phone and then I came in for an initial consult. I figured if it didn...'t feel right, I could move on to someone else. Fred made me feel comfortable because he gave me his undivided attention during our meeting. He also had lots of questions and took detailed notes. Leaving, I felt I had the right person for the job. That day and all our conversations that followed, he always took time to explain things as clearly as possible. He always told me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear. He also considered my input before moving forward at each step. I also never felt rushed or got the short shrift during any of our phone or in person meetings. Divorce, even in less complicated cases like mine (no kids, etc.), is a multi-step journey. So it is important that you feel that this person is experienced, gives good advice, is attentive to detail, and sees the big picture. Fred was all of that. The other thing is that I never felt that he was running up his billable time. Things take the time they do and he always billed me appropriately. So that also gave me peace of mind. In the end, we got a result that I was happy with and could live with. Fred Allentoff did an excellent job on my behalf! I recommend him without reservation.
