Biography
Steve Kauffman is a lawyer, CPA, and former IRS revenue agent who brings this knowledge to bear during his representation of individuals and businesses with a wide variety of tax and business-related matters. He represents individual and small-to-medium sized business clients with serious federal and state tax problems including unfiled returns, substantial balances due, audits, criminal investigations, personal liability for delinquent payroll taxes (i.e. trust-fund recovery penalties) and sales and use taxes, foreign bank and financial accounts, foreign businesses, and litigation in the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court, Court of Federal Claims, Courts of Appeals, US Supreme Court, and all Maryland and DC courts.
